Steven William Hawking, an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author and Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge was born in Oxford, on 8th January 1942. His Father was Mr Frank Hawking & Mother was Mrs Isobel Hawking. He had unconditionally served the Nation * the world as well without any personal interest, through his scientific researches. One of his extraordinary researches was about Black Holes. He explored that the Black Holes emit radiations, which gradually declared as Hawking Radiations.
He was a normal child but with certain extraordinary thoughts & vision. He sharpens his thoughts & aligned them with the service of humanism through the field of science. There are certain facts available about his life:
- Hawking was born on Jan. 8, 1942, which just happened to be the 300th anniversary of Galileo’s death
- Hawking was never awarded the Nobel Prize.
- His best writing “A Brief History of Time.” gave him a great feeling.
- He was the first in Oxford who started research cosmology at the University of Cambridge
- He published his first book “The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time”, when he was employed as a research assistant

He is a Fellow of the Royal Society and a member of the US National Academy of Sciences and the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.”
