Fuel is combustible; so is the exponential hike in fuel price. India is a country where Petrol prices hike rapidly. Petrol and Diesel are something which we need on daily or weekly basis. If you need to go out of your house, you obviously need a transport and for transport you of course need Petrol. India is filled with Middle-Class people. Rich remains rich and poor remain poor in India. But all Budget related decisions impact the Middle-Class and Poor-Class society like a hurricane. Middle and Poor class are the common men of the society.
The petrol Prices have increased rapidly over a course of 1 month time including 16 straight days of the hike. The prices had been a heck of an ECG graph if one sees it for last 1 year. After making it to a record high, the petrol prices have been cut by 7 paise per litre 31st may 2018, after a cut by 1 paisa per litre on 30th May 2018. In Capital of Indi, Delhi; Petrol will now cost Rs. 78.35 down from Rs. 78.42.
Indian Oil’s Website, posted relieving news to the public stating that there had been a price slash of 60 paise/ litre for Petrol on 30th May. But soon the happiness turned into fury when Indian Oil clarified that there was a cut of only 1 paisa/ litre and called the former a “Technical glitch”. The cut of 7 paise/ litre has aggravated the Twitterratis for the tweet war and mockery. Even Rahul Gandhi tweeted on the same.
Well, government is doing what it does the best- Making pun out of our lives. We just need to wait, watch and experience how a common man will survive these petrol hikes? Always hope for the best!!
