Lifestyle Diseases and Their Causes
Fitness and good health is the key to life. “Be fit and be happy”- It had been and it will be always the Mantra to a healthy life. So, We are going to talk about Lifestyle diseases and their causes.
Lifestyle:
In today’s world, we people are following such a mechanized lifestyle that it is leaving a bad impression on our health and fitness. No one is having any routine life. “Early to bed and early to rise” is just a proverb now. An apple a day, keeps a doctor away has been replaced with Junk food. Junk food is nothing but the food which are having high calories and if not burn properly can lead to many health-related issues. But due to our 9:00- 5:00 jobs we are not able to give proper time for our physical training and proper lifestyle. Eating junk food, not burning calories in the gym, not having to do maintenance diet, stressing out due to personal or professional life, skipping meals, etc. are the classic examples of failing lifestyles we all have.
Disease:
We on a daily basis hear in the society that someone is suffering from Heart Disease, Liver Disease, Diabetes, PCOD, etc. But how many of us know what a disease is and how it happens? A disease is an abnormal condition, a disorder of a structure or function that affects part or all of an organism. Pathology is the study of disease. Diseases are mainly categorized into 4 ways- Infectious Diseases, Deficiency Disease, Genetic Diseases and Physiological Diseases. Diseases not only affect people physically but mentally, monetarily and emotionally. The cause can be external stimuli or by internal dysfunctions. Some diseases are because of the occupation we are into. For ex- IT professional can have lower back pain, dry eyes, VIT D deficiency- because they have to stay in the office for straight 9 hours and sit on their desk in front of their computers. This impacts their health in an adverse way and can cause obesity in the person.

Inflammation:
Inflammation is the body’s way to fight against the harmful stimuli such as pathogens, damaged cells, etc. The main function of inflammation is to eradicate the cause of cell injury or tissue damage.
Symptoms:
- Redness
- Swollen joints
- Joint pain and stiffness
- Loss of Joint functions
Causes:
When a pathogen attacks the body which in biology terms is known as Antibodies, the guard cells of the body i.e. White Blood Cells (WBCs) have to come into action and act against the antibodies. In that case, WBCs will release chemicals into blood and blood will carry those chemicals to the area of action.
We need to protect every tissue of our body to keep our body protected from all the diseases in the world. This can be achieved by maintaining a proper diet, gym regularly and eating clean. We must be making a routine for our 24 hours. Every second count. We have to always think that daily we are getting fresh 84000 sec and how can we utilize every second to make our lives more healthy, fit and happy.
