Health is a part of our integral life and it is very important to maintain a proper health. We have been said and made to grow with the facts like “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” and many more that have the key element as fruit. So, we have said that fruits and vegetables give us the strength we want for functioning with our day to day activities. Even a 5-year-old kid would know this. This is ultimately the truth as fruits help us to rejuvenate, the lost energy. So, the question here is not about this, but whether eating fresh fruits on an empty stomach is good or bad?
Being a major subject of debate, people have been arguing on the best time to have fruits, for quite long. Although this is a crucial aspect with regard to health, it totally depends on the person to have it on empty stomach or with meals. Usually, people advise not to eat fruits on an empty stomach and to have it with meals. In India, people have fruits right after their meal for a better digestion. But more hypothetically, it is highly regarded that having fruits on an empty stomach gives you more benefits.
Some of the benefits of this are:
- Weight loss.
- High vitamin and nutrition content.
- Fiber.
- Antioxidants.
- Full refill of energy.
So, eating a fruit is best considered on an empty stomach. However, eating a banana on an empty stomach, especially during an early morning time is not advisable as it induces more acids into your body and may lead to bowel problems.
But this is not in the case of apples. Apples are best irrespective of the time at which they are eaten. Having a quality apple on empty stomach is not that bad and in fact, good for a better day ahead. If you are into dieting and gym, apples would be the best suggestion by your trainer, for its rich content of monosaccharides. For people who are normal, having apples in morning time on an empty stomach would not cause any problem. But people with blood pressure, sugar problems would not be advised to have an apple on an empty stomach as it may cause certain fluctuation levels in the body, when it is eaten on an empty stomach.
So, it is highly variable with regard to your body conditions and type of fruit you have, on an empty stomach. But this doesn’t mean, you must reduce your intake of fruits. If reducing weight is your ultimate goal, the most regarded fact is that you fill up your plates with more of veggies and fruits, rather than regular dietary foods. Nothing in the entire world keeps you at your best health than fruits and vegetables. So, get along and grab a bite of your favorite fruit at any time you wish. For a better health, the only thing that matters is you keep the diet persistent without diverting.
