After a long journey, which our ancestors travelled, facing extreme difficulties – Mentally or Physically, WE the people of India got a chance to breathe in a free environment. 1947 – The day, we started our journey, keeping lots of aspirations in our mind/heart, empowered by strong willpower. The aspiration was of, being free to live, to have the feeling of our OWN country.
The Hope of having a growing, peaceful, Democratic India made us more confident to have faith in the Leaders of that time. Here we are not gathered to point out anyone, but our aim is to identify the achievements we got during this tenure through these leaders, which make us feel proud in the world
“Democracy is government by the people, for the people and of the people”
Keeping the Democratic/Federal State in mind, we elected our first President as Mr Rajendra Prasad and Prime Minister of India as Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Head of the Indian Constituent Assembly, Dr Rajendra Prasad did the remarkable job in the formation of Indian Constitution. They completed the drafting of the same in two years seven months & eleven days with the help of their team. The same was finally adopted by the assembly on 26th November 1949. We remember that day as a ‘National Law Day’. Dr Ambedkar was the head of the Drafting committee & he played a fantastic role for the same without any bias.
The second name behind our democratic country is Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri. He was the only person who was focused on the Unity in India. It made a lot of Impact on the nation. He came up the wonderful slogan of that time “Jai Jawaan, Jai Kisan” (Hail The Soldier, Hail The Farmer), which ultimately gave the message to every Indian that we ought to focus on the major backbones of the nation & we should empower them to stand up among the world.
I will personally, recommend a name who completely sacrificed his entire life to the nation, crossing the barriers of Financial Insecurity, Cast Discrimination, Knowledge – he was an Engineer, Scientist and President of Indian – Yes, I am surely talking about the Missile Man of India, Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam.
His all contributions are remarkable & his living style was undoubtedly simple. No Property, no Savings & High Values along with amazing knowledge about all aspects. He worked at Defence Research and Development Organization(DRDO) & Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). He had also worked for the Missile development so named as The Missile Man. If we talk about his Teachings to the Nation & especially to the Youth of India:
- Never Feel Hopeless
- Have Purpose in Life
- You Can do, whatever you think
- First change yourself then the nation will
The Youth of India is searching for the marriage events of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle, also for Nadia Toffa, the Italian Journalist, But most of them are directionless, never use to search something with purpose in mind. We cannot debate that the search they are doing worth or not. If we carry the same zeal that our ancestors had, then the Youth have to be more focused.
There were successful Leaders like Sh. Rajeev Gandhi, Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Smt. Indira Gandhi etc.
But another name we might discuss here with achievements is Mr Narendra Modi. There are success stories available in his running tenure. These are:
- Make in India
- Digital India
- Skill India
- Swachh Bharat Abhyaan
- GST Creation & It’s Implementation
- Crackdown on black money through demonetization &many more.
IF we see the entire journey till now, put hands on your heart & say that you have contributed something to the nation. The reply will be NO for most of the people. The coin has two aspects. Eyeing for the fulfilment of our aspiration that we had at the time of freedom, we all ought to contribute something to the nation. It can be few hours for some needy student’s education or anything like that.
The Youth of India is the backbone of the Nation so, I request everyone to empower them & support them to have a clear Purpose of their life. Have Freedom; enjoy the smooth breath in the Democratic State of our aspirations.
Jai Hind.
